Down The Rabbit Hole My Dear Diary

When your imagination goes too far

We are tired of reading and listening to love stories that actually belong to the sphere of imagination. Suddenly, they are everywhere, feeding the mind of those that are eternally in love with the idea of it.

What happens though when you get so obsessed with them that you start sinking in the quicksand of your own mind? People nowadays watch too many movies and read to many books that evolve around the same subject – Epic Love. Both men and women are so desperate in search of that, that they built those stories in their head. They take one story that suits them and then they just build their own characters. They choose a person and make that someone their whole world, their “epic love” and their whole being. The fact that they never had a relationship or didn’t create proper memories together is not important. They basically do not really know the person and the other person definitely does not know them because he or she never wanted to get to know them.

The story seems unique in the beginning; you give all your energy in that story and a jet of warm shot runs through you. It is an innocuous obsession at first but then it becomes worse; you create a story in your head about that person and your relationship and you get so lost in it that you confuse reality with fantasy. Your imagination goes so far that you create a whole universe in your head. It can be so intense that it dominates all of your thoughts causing you to be delusional. And then worst part is that you drag the other person in this lunatic fairy tale that you built in there.

So what about the person that is carried into that despite his consent? Mercy on him.. nothing that this person can do or say can change the story that the obsessed person has built in his head and  named “LOVE”.

How can you do that? How can you get so lost in your own little fairy tale and drift away from reality? How can you be so obsessed with a person to the point that you choke him/her? To the extend that the other person cannot breath because of the pressure and the unreal situation that you force him into? How can you escape that obsessed person?

People, we need to wake up! we need to get back on our feet, love ourselves and respect ourselves.

Your whole world is you and only you. Being carried away in this type of virtual reality can only hurt you; you lose yourself, you don’t value yourself and most important you don’t love and respect yourself. You need to focus on yourself, only you can complete you so keep your thoughts healthy and your energy clean.
